Creative Masking For Your Holga Camera
July 4th, 2008 by DurkinPosted in Modification
In this post you can learn about masking the interior of your Holga in order to add interesting elements to your photographs.
I have decided to go for the torn edges look in my mask.
To do this to your own holga all you need is tape, card and scissors.
1. Take out the normal plastic mask that comes with your Holga camera.
2. Cut out a square piece of card that fits around the center square in your Holga perfectly. (see images below)
3. Next think of what border you would like on your images. Make it as scruffy or defined as you like.
4. Use tape on either side of the mask to stick it down. Make sure is secure and bam! Your ready to use it.
Here are the pictures of mine:

My images should come out something like this:

Results will be posted soon!

I guess its all about experimenting, but I can imagine that refelctive materials will have your light bouncing around all over the place and either make for some interesting effects, or ruin your pictures
Good luck!
