Top Ways To Promote Your Holga Photography on The Net

Everyone loves to promote their photography as it offers many advantages. Feedback can be collected, friends can be made and if your lucky you might even make some money!
The internet is rapidly expanding and its offering amateur photographs great new opportunities to promote their work. You could be one of these people.
Here is a list of some of the best ways to promote your Holga photography.
1. Flickr
http://flickr.com
Flickr is one of my favorite places to post pictures. The interface is simple and quick, sign up is free and getting a big list of contacts together is relatively easy. Probably the best thing it thought, is that the uploading is very fast and very simple.
I spend most of my time looking at other people’s work and adding their photographs to my favorites and adding the contacts that took them too. Users are indicated when others add a picture to their favorites and this sparks interest and curiosity. They will then most likely come and look at your work, and even add you.
Flickr also does video hosting, but I have never used it.
You can post your Flickr address in our forum thread: Post your Flickr URL
Forums
NEW! Go Holga Forum
Forums related to photography are a great place to post your pictures and get feedback. Many forums also allow a personal signature. In there you can place links to your work. I get a lot of my traffic here through people clicking the link in my signatures! It really does work.
Join the new Go Holga Forum.
Another great forum for Holga users is http://toycamera.com/forum
Social Networking Sites
Social networking sites are a fantastic place to promote the photographs that you have taken on your Holga. Many now have quick and simple ways of organising your photographs, and send automatic notifications to contacts when they are posted. I recommend Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. Remember, shout outs and status updates are great for telling people about new work.
useful plugins and extensions are also a big part of social networking sites these days. My Flickr, for Facbook and Happy Flickr for MySpace are good.
Personal website
The web is getting bigger every day, Its actually quite alarming! Many photographers now own personal websites in order to promote their work.
A website is professional and can be used very successfully as a way of marketing yourself for business.
Personally, I wouldn’t put this high on the list of things to get though. Hosting can often be complex and expensive. If you have freinds in the know, i reccomend it, but otherwise, just stick to flickr.
If you have any suggestions yourself then please post them here!

I haven’t bought a Holga yet but I’m sure I’ll have one before winter comes. Right now I have a DSLR and I put my photos on deviantart.com . I’ve found quite a few beautiful photos taken by Holga cameras there.
yeah I was going to add that site as well but then I just got too tired or something haha. Thanks for the comment, you should get a Holga asap! Whats stopping you?
