‘Don’t think Just shoot’ and other pointers
May 2nd, 2008 Posted in InspirationI caught this video on youtube today and thought it offered some very interesting tips.
I’m glad that i stumbled across it, because with my recent lazyness and the cold I have picked up, I am all out of inspiration. This has helped me to get some of it back.
Here are a few extra tips that might help you.
1. Have a Subject
Having a subject is something that can really bring your photography to life. Human subjects are always good because you can capture their emotion. This is something that people looking at your photograph can relate to and they will therefore find it interesting.
2. Think about the rules, ok DON’T think about the rules?
Maybe one time you go out with your Holga or Lomo camera you should concentrate on breaking rules or habits. I got into a really bad habit of shooting buildings as if looking upwards at it. Go ahead, be creative! see what happens.
3. Be observant
Look around you, look up. Look down. I bet you hadn’t noticed that before had you? One of the most important factors in getting a good photograph is to be observant!
If you have any of your own please leave a comment!
