Hack Your Digital SLR With a Holga lens
May 9th, 2008 Posted in HackI’ve noticed lately, that a lot of people are attempting to hack their digital cameras in order to accommodate the plastic Holga lens. I would like to point out that I am not a fan of this idea as I love film photography, but I could see that if you are the proud owner of a digital SLR, you would like to give it a go!
Here is a few photographs from the process of hacking the Holga lens onto your camera. You can click this link if you would like to see The full tutorial.

You may also be interested to know that the guy that runs Holgamods, (i believe his name is Randy but I might have made that up!) has released a series of adapters so that Holga lenses can work on digital SLRs. You might want to check them out if you don’t want to follow the DIY tutorial above.

surely putting a holga lens on a digital camera goes against the whole idea of using holgas…but whatever

yup thats what i think as well, thats why i stated in the post that i’m not a fan! To be honest I don’t really see the point of it at all, i mean if you want holga looking shots buy a holga right? Still, i guess there are a lot of digital users now that refuse to pay for development!
Thanks for the comment
