Portrait Work With Holga Camera
June 29th, 2008 by DurkinPosted in Photography
Here are some examples of portrait work that I have done with my Holga. I found this film when looking through my archives and realised that I’ve never scanned it in before.
In this first picture there is definitely something spooky going on. Check out the zip! I think everything else worked well though. The focus is good and its a well balanced composition.

Although the model in this picture doesn’t look particularly happy, I think the mood of this photograph is actually good. I like the lighting and the contrast a lot and I think the fact that the background is really blurred helps to add a certain mysterious feel to it.

Ok so, not technically a picture by me because this IS in fact me! Still, this was from the same film using the same Holga of course. I really like the way the backdrop is blurred here like in the previous photograph. It actually looks a little like its been faked, like in a 50’s film.
